Serial Interception

The Serial Interception is used for capturing the card No. and other information by intercepting the data from serial port

connected.

1. Enter ATM Setting menu, shown in Figure 9. Click Menu > Setting >ATM to enter ATM Settings menu.

2. Click the ATM Enable checkbox to enable ATM function, and then select the connection type to Serial

Interception.

Note: The Serial Interception and Serial Protocol cannot be selected simultaneously.

3. ATM Type Settings, shown in Figure 9. The ATM type can be set to DIEBOLD, DRS918 or NCR_2, or

customized by selecting Custom from the list and clicking the Set button beside More Settings to enter the

ATM Type Settings menu.

4. Set the Data Packet in the menu. Please refer to step2 in section Network Interception for the same

instructions. After completion of Data Packet settings, click the Trading Info item to enter the menu.

5. Trading Information Settings: Set the main type, with Card No., Trade Action, Trade Amount and Serial No.

selectable.

6. Set the location, length, overlay position of the selected main type. If required, input the characters beside

Display Prefix to add a prefix to the selected main type. After completion of Trading Info settings, click the

Trigger Channel item to enter the menu.

Note: When the main type is set to Trade Action, user may select the corresponding sub-type, with the InCard,

OutCard, Overlay, Query, Withdraw, Deposit, Change Password and Transfer options selectable.

7. Set the Location of the main type. Click the Set button beside Location to enter the menu.

8. Select the location of the card No. in the message to Fixed Offset or Token Offset. In token offset mode,

user may set the identifier (ASCII/HEX) and extra offset to determine the position of the content in the

message, as well as set the multiplier of the identifier.

9. Set the Length of the main type. Click the Set button beside Length to enter the menu.

10. Set the length of the card No. to Fixed Length, Variable Length or Auto Length. In variable length mode,

user may set the End Character to determine the length of the card No. In auto length mode, user may set the

length value and position to obtain the card No. length in from the message.

Note: No Length can be set if the main type is selected to Trade Action.
